The story picks up where “Dune” left off.

After the massacre of the Atreides dynasty by the ruthless Harkonnen forces on the desert planet Arrakis, the only survivors, Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and his mother Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), flee into the endless stretches of sand to escape the executioners led by the Machiavellian Emperor Padishah Shaddam IV Corrino (Christopher Walken).

This series serves as a sequel to the renowned film “The Maltese Falcon” by John Huston (1941), based on the novel of the same name by Dashiell Hammett. Set 20 years after the original story, the six 52-minute episodes follow detective Sam Spade as he returns to action.
