The conductor. Israeli series directed by Alon Zingman with Lior Askenazi and Dov Glickman.
Music and memory
This series is about a famous pianist who decides to leave the scene for his parent’s house.
Truculent and moving comedy with a sense of humour that reminds me of Woody Allen, “The conductor” tackles the themes of memory, music, childhood and education, all during rehearsing of a choir one of a kind.
The complicity of these two actors, friends in real life, is obvious (said Dov Glickman at the end of the projection).
Their scenes shot together are extremely beautiful and I’m looking forward to seeing the next episodes.
