FoRTE #7: The 24 Hours of Creation – The Next Artistic Generation Invents Itself in Île-de-France

Why this article?

The Regional Fund for Emerging Talents (FoRTE) celebrates its 7th edition and stands as a true laboratory of creation. Created in 2017 by the Île-de-France Region, this unique initiative supports around forty young artists each year across four disciplines: visual arts, cinema, music, and performing arts.

FoRTE is not just a financial springboard (up to €25,000 per artist): it is a launchpad toward professional recognition, a meeting place between innovation and memory.

Highlights of the 2025 Edition

🎭 November 18, 2025: a special evening at the Opéra Bastille, where artists will present their creations in music, theater, dance, and cinema.
🖼️ From November 19, 2025, to January 11, 2026: an exhibition at Frac Île-de-France – Les Réserves (Romainville), curated by Cindy Olohou, head of the Frac collection.

This edition stands out for the diversity of its approaches: sculpture, video, installation, sound creation. The works explore contemporary, ecological, memorial, and digital fractures with rare visual strength.

Visual Arts: Between Memory and Transformation

Under the theme “Remnants of a Changing World”, the winners explore the transformation of life, matter, and territory.

  • Borgial – The Mirror: sculpture and video blending memory and spirituality, exhibited with the CNEAI.

  • Marguerite Li-Garrigue – Muts: sculptures inspired by the metamorphosis of insects, a poetic reflection on human evolution.

  • Lou Fauroux – What Remains, The Internet Collapse: immersive installation questioning our dependence on digital systems.

  • Djabril Boukhenaïssi – Artist’s Book: engravings retracing the repression of October 17, 1961, in Paris.

  • Pauline Pastry – The Devil’s Workshops: homage to 19th-century workers, between video and steel.

A generation of artists who examine the ruins of the present to better imagine the future.

Cinema and Audiovisual Arts: Filming Memory and Resistance

FoRTE’s cinema explores politics from a human perspective.

  • Juliette Corne – The Commander’s Night: a documentary filmed in Ukraine, between chaos and creation.

  • Pauline Doméjean – My Sister’s Room: an intimate short film about a young woman’s reconstruction.

  • Simon Roth – Erdal Has Left: documentary theater on exile and transmission.

These works embody a new generation of filmmakers combining a sense of reality with poetic vision.

Music and Performing Arts: Between Tradition and Hybridization

The music and performance laureates blur the boundaries between genres.

  • Camille Constantin Da Silva – Gildaa: a live performance blending soul, jazz, and samba.

  • Mac Mai Suong – Love and Other Myths: experimental Vietnamese pop inspired by ancient legends.

  • Angela Simonyan – Odayin: an album between electro and Armenian folklore, celebrating the sacred feminine.

  • Rita Lira – The Eternal Return: a choreographic performance on war and rebirth.

Each work becomes a political act, a celebration of life, an invitation to listen differently.

An Engaged Cultural Policy

FoRTE represents €1 million per year, 360 artists supported since 2017, and a clear philosophy: to make emerging creation visible throughout Île-de-France.

The program embodies a politics of hope: giving everyone the opportunity to create, regardless of origin, territory, or discipline.

Why Discover FoRTE #7?

Because these artists—photographers, filmmakers, musicians, performers—are inventing the aesthetic and political language of tomorrow.
Because the art of Île-de-France asserts itself as a free and poetic space of experimentation.
And because in a world saturated with images, FoRTE reminds us that creation remains a vital act.
